None of the measures imagined by even the most zealous environmentalist will have any measurable effect on climate. New technologies are the only thing that might make a difference.

Ray knows that solar power will soon be economic due to the accelerating returns. I think in about 10 years it will be achievable. Shortly after that more and more gas based engines will go away, and eventually their emissions as well.

It was also a great year for extreme weather, anyone notice the increased; storms, rain, floods, mudslides, droughts, crop failures, typhoons, tornados … no? Must have been too busy ogling some hi-tech toy. Climate change is accelerating too, very soon not even Ray Kurzweil will be able to ignore it.
