TED | Markus Fischer: A robot that flies like a bird
August 3, 2011
TED | Plenty of robots can fly — but none can fly like a real bird. That is, until Markus Fischer and his team at Festo built SmartBird, a large, lightweight robot, modeled on a seagull, that flies by flapping its wings. A soaring demo fresh from TEDGlobal 2011.

In a controlled environment, it is but a mere task of certain physics; as outside there are several factors, that only when registered corectly act as an empowering forse. I hope your bird will be able to follow a certain path or a certain goal, while at the same time adjusting to and also using the dynamics of a free environment in its benefit and enjoyment. Also, I think the body frame should be silicon.
