Doug Randall, who co-authored “the Pentagon study” on abrupt climate change, has commented on the “Day After Tomorrow film.

“The timeframe is definitely exaggerated, but the premise is one of the real issues of our day,” he said. “The danger signs come from the world of science and have to do with things like salinity of the Atlantic Ocean and the thermohaline conveyor. Signs that point to big shifts in these kind of processes are the ones to look for, as opposed to hotter weather or strange storms.”

Like the film, the Pentagon report stated that the gradual global warming we’re experiencing could plausibly trigger an abrupt climate snap, and that its effects would be massive, perhaps catastrophic.
