Raspberry Pi starts manufacturing an ARM GNU/Linux box for $25

Raspberry Pi, a $25 computer, has gone into production, with the first units rolling off the assembly line at the end of January.
The Raspberry Pi is a ARM GNU/Linux credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It can be used for many of the things your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video.
The Model A, with 128 MB RAM, will cost $25, and the Model B, with 256 MB RAM, $35. The first batch will consist only of Model Bs. Raspberry Pi had to make the pragmatic decision to manufacture the first batch in Taiwan and China, but they are still working hard on investigating UK possibilities.

I’ve never believed in “A picture s worth a thousand words” and the video of Blackberry PI’s “ARM GNU/Linux box for $25″ backs that up. My computer, and I assume others, downloads slower than it displays, so I get a picture of a guy holding an electronic device, not using it, with voice chopped up so I can’t understand it. Videos that display cartoons or non-moving pictures, or those that allow downloading all before displaying are fine, but that’s not the case here. I’d do much better with just the words, even in print. So why do we need the pictures?
